Always offering our clients more resources and choices to lead a healthy lifestyle, Whitehall Health Centre is pleased to announce our Functional Fitness classes.  The difference between these classes and traditional exercise programs involves the concept of everyday use (functionality).

These exercises actually mimic everyday activities, such as bending to pick up groceries, the movement involved in raking leaves, or rotating your body to parallel park. Functional Fitness classes were created in order to help with the practical, physical requirements of day-to-day living.

Now you will be able to incorporate the natural movements of your body into a fun, healthy exercise program. Our Functional Fitness program utilizes cross training and incorporates popular TRX equipment. This motion focused training is intended to not only increase strength, improve flexibility and endurance, but it’s fun as well!

How Does It Work?

Regular workouts evolve systematically, challenging your muscles in a variety of ways and keeps you motivated throughout the program. Your sessions will be anything but routine, as every workout is different. One session may involve lifting while the next incorporates aerobics and still another involves body weight exercises.
